History

Historically, Bandung State Polytechnic was originally under the auspices of the Bandung Institute of Technology with the name Bandung Institute of Technology Polytechnic, founded in 1982, which was then independent in 1997 and changed its name to Bandung State Polytechnic or Polban, located in West Bandung Regency, West Java Province. In the beginning, the Accounting Department was called the Commerce Administration Department, which was later split into 2, namely the Accounting Department and the Commerce Administration Department. In its function as part of a vocational college, the Accounting Department supports POLBAN in carrying out its moral responsibility to develop human resource civilization, and specifically has the duty and responsibility to develop human resources according to regional, national and global development needs, bearing in mind its position as part of a universal scientific community. Initially, the Accounting Department housed the D3 Accounting and D3 Finance and Banking Study Programs. As demand continued to grow for resources that could compete in industry, the Accounting Department then opened the D4 Government Management Accounting and D4 Sharia Finance Study Programs, which was then followed by the establishment of D4 Accounting. It didn't stop there, the Accounting Department then opened a Masters program, namely Masters in Applied Finance and Sharia Banking. To date, the Accounting Department has 6 study programs that are ready to contribute to producing quality resources in the fields of accounting and finance.
